The Clarke County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing in the Berryville-Clarke County Government Center, second-floor Main meeting room, 101 Chalmers Court, Berryville, Va., on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, to hear public comment on the following:
PH 2022-01: Review and renewal of the Clarke County Agricultural & Forestal District. Pursuant to Chapter 48 of Code of Clarke County, and as authorized under the Code of Virginia, Title 15.2, Chapter 43, the Clarke County Agricultural & Forestal District is reviewed every six (6) years for modification, termination or continuation. During this review process, and prior to action by the Board of Supervisors, land may be withdrawn from the district at the owner’s discretion by filing a written notice. Land may also be added to the district upon review and approval of an application submitted by the owner. The Planning Commission has recommended the Board of Supervisors renew the District with the same conditions and terms as exist in the District currently.
