The Clarke County Litter Committee is a five-member group appointed by the Board of Supervisors to raise public awareness to discourage littering and promote recycling. The mission of the Clarke County Litter Committee is to educate, inspire, and empower the community to improve the environment through beautification and litter prevention.

Litter Committee meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month in the second-floor meeting space of the Berryville-Clarke County Government Center located at 101 Chalmers Ct. in Berryville, Va. All meetings are open to the public.

Individuals who participate in clean-up events are asked to read and sign Litter Committee Safety Rules and Waiver.
The Litter Committee has supplies to lend to anyone who wants to pick up trash in the community. Go to the Clarke County Planning Department on the second floor of the Berryville-Clarke County Government Center weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
