County of Clarke, Virginia Department of Fire-EMS and Emergency Management is accepting applications for the position of Firefighter/Medic to fill full-time vacancies. Application deadline is midnight on Friday, November 29, 2024.

Qualified, experienced individuals must be at least 18-years old with high school diploma (or equivalent), valid Virginia driver’s license and possess a minimum of the following certifications: Firefighter I, EMT-P (Firefighter/Medic) and EVOC II. Preferred certifications include, Firefighter II, DPO, and EVOC III. Minimum starting salary is $55,000. A six-month increase will be awarded pending successful completion of the probationary period. Schedule is 24/72 with an impact day every 28-days. Benefits include Virginia Retirement System with locally enhanced hazardous duty pay, Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.
