Volunteers are needed to pick up litter along a 2-mile stretch of Salem Church Road between Pyletown and Opequon roads and Opequon to the Frederick County line. Meet at 9 a.m. at Salem Baptist Church (1362 Salem Church Rd.), where Clarke County Litter Committee members will distribute trash bags and safety vests. Volunteers should sign up via litterfree@clarkecounty.gov and must sign waiver forms. Young volunteers should be at least 10-years old, but parents must decide if their children can work along roadways. Contact the Litter Committee at litterfree@clarkecounty.gov.
