Public Hearing Notices

Public Hearings are part of formal government meetings and are scheduled as needed. Public Hearings are opportunities for a governing body to receive testimony from the public at large on local issues or proposed government actions. Notices are posted here and published in The Winchester Star — the area’s newspaper of record — at least 10 days prior to the Public Hearing.

 

PH: VDOT Proposed Secondary Six‐Year Plan for FY2025‐FY2030

The Virginia Department of Transportation and the Clarke County Board of Supervisors, in accordance with Section §33.2‐331 of the Code of Virginia, will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Berryville-Clarke County Government Center second-floor Main meeting room, 101 Chalmers Ct., Berryville, Va., to receive public comments on the following matter:

PH 2024‐08: Proposed Secondary Six‐Year Plan for FY2025‐FY2030 in Clarke County and on the FY2025‐FY2030 Secondary System Construction Program Estimated Allocations. Copies of the proposed Plan and Estimated Allocations may be reviewed at the Edinburg Residency Office of the Virginia Department of Transportation, located at 14031 Old Valley Pike, Edinburg, Virginia, or the Clarke County Administration office, located at 101 Chalmers Court, Suite B, Berryville, Virginia. All projects in the Secondary Six‐Year Plan that are eligible for federal funds will be included
in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), which documents how
Virginia will obligate federal transportation funds.

Information regarding the above matter is available to the public in Clarke County Administration office (101 Chalmers Ct., second floor) and in the link below. Any person desiring to speak on the above matter should appear at the appointed time and place. Written copies of statements are requested, but not required. Clarke County does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in admission to its programs and activities. Accommodations will be made for handicapped persons upon prior request.
