Clarke County Pool Grand Re-Opening at Chet Hobert Park (225 Al Smith Circle) celebrates the completely renovated pool. When the pool facility opened in 1983, it was a large 25-meter swimming pool and a smaller, shallow wading pool. When the pool facility officially opens on May 25 for the 2024 season, it will be one large pool with “zero-entry access.” Individuals of all ages can simply walk or roll wheelchairs into the pool, and children will have fun in the shallow end with its two new water features.
RSVP for the May 15 event via (540) 955-5140 or ccpr@clarkecounty.gov. Read more about the pool and find the summer program guide (includes pool hours and swim lessons) at Parks and Recreation.
