Volunteers are needed to pick up trash along a 2-mile stretch of Salem Church and Opequon roads. The Clarke County Litter Committee adopted this area through VDOT’s “Adopt A Highway” program.

Meet at 9 a.m. Dec. 3 at the Salem Baptist Church (1362 Salem Church Rd., Boyce). Volunteers should be at least 15-years old, but parents must decide if it’s safe for children of any age to work along roadways. All volunteers must sign Litter Committee Safety Rules and Waiver in advance. Contact the Litter Committee at litterfree@clarkecounty.gov to ask questions, to sign up, and/or to submit a completed waiver.

NOTE: Trash pick up will be canceled if it rains on Dec. 3.
