In History’s Footsteps at Cool Spring at Shenandoah River Campus at Cool Spring Battlefield (1400 Parker Lane, Bluemont) is led by Professor Jonathan Noyalas, director of the Shenandoah University’s McCormick Civil War Institute. Participants ages 6 to 15 will see life through a soldier’s eyes using immersive and hands-on activities, uniforms and equipment; and infantry drills. This program will enrich the understanding of a Clarke County historic resource and maybe spark a lifelong appreciation for history. Fee is $30.
