Clarke County Veterans Day Service at the Veterans Memorial (west side of Berryville-Clarke County Government Center, 101 Chalmers Ct., Berryville) is FREE and open to the public. Program features the Clarke County Honor Guard, Clarke County Community Band, and a ceremonial wreath laying led by VFW Post 9760 and American Legion Post 41. Supervisors chair David Weiss presents the 2022 Clarke County Veteran of the Year award to a Clarke resident whose dedication to the nation and our community did not end when their military service was complete. In the event of inclement weather, program moves the Berryville-Clarke County Government Center second-floor meeting room. Following the service, VFW Post 9760 ( 425 S. Buckmarsh St., Berryville) hosts an open house for veterans and their families. Light refreshments will be served.
