The Clarke County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 7 p.m. in the main meeting room, second floor, of the Berryville-Clarke County Government Center, 101 Chalmers Ct., Berryville, Va., to consider action on the 2022 Clarke County Comprehensive Plan.
The Comprehensive Plan provides a vision for how a community should grow in the future. It is typically long-range and forward-looking, addressing a wide range of issues and questions relating to land use, community facilities, infrastructure, preservation, community character, and economic development among other topics.
The current Comprehensive Plan was adopted by the Board of Supervisors in 2014. The 2022 Comprehensive Plan is a revision of the current Comprehensive Plan and includes changes to strengthen and update the Plan’s goals, objectives, and strategies; updated demographics and statistics from the 2020 Census and other sources; and amendments throughout the Plan for clarity and consistency purposes.
Any person desiring to speak on the above matter should appear at the Public Hearing. Written copies of statements and questions are requested but not required. Clarke County does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in admission to its programs and activities. Accommodations will be made for handicapped persons upon prior request.
