Public Hearing Notices

Public Hearings are part of formal government meetings and are scheduled as needed. Public Hearings are opportunities for a governing body to receive testimony from the public at large on local issues or proposed government actions. Notices are posted here and published in The Winchester Star — the area’s newspaper of record — at least 10 days prior to the Public Hearing.

 

Public Hearings: Proposed Amendments to Four Articles of the Clarke County Code, Chapter 165

  • Date: 04/11/2022 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM  

The Clarke County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing in the Berryville-Clarke County Government Center, second-floor Main meeting room, 101 Chalmers Court, Berryville, Va., on Monday, April 11, 2022, at 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, to hear public comment on proposed amendments to the following articles of the Clarke County code, Chapter 165:

  • Article XVII Transient Occupancy Tax
  • Article XXI Cigarette Tax
  • Article XXII Food and Beverage Tax
  • Article I Business License Tax

Information regarding the above matters is available to the public in Clarke County Administration. Any person desiring to speak on the above matters should appear at the appointed time and place. Written copies of statements are requested but not required. Clarke County does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in admission to its programs and activities. Accommodations will be made for handicapped persons upon prior request.
