The Planning Commission of Clarke County, Virginia, will hold a public hearing on Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, at 9 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Main meeting room, second floor, Berryville-Clarke County Government Center, 101 Chalmers Ct., Berryville, Va., to consider the following matter:
Review of the Clarke County Agricultural & Forestal District for recommendation to the Board of Supervisors. Pursuant to Chapter 48 of Code of Clarke County, and as authorized under the Code of Virginia, Title 15.2, Chapter 43, the Clarke County Agricultural & Forestal District is reviewed every six (6) years for modification, termination or continuation. During this review process, and prior to action by the Board of Supervisors, land may be withdrawn from the district at the owner’s discretion by filing a written notice. Land may also be added to the district upon review and approval of an application submitted by the owner.
Information regarding the above matter is available to the public at the Clarke County Planning Office during regular business hours. Any person desiring to speak on the above matter should appear at the appointed time and place. Written copies of statements are requested but not required.
