Berryville-Clarke County Veterans Day Program begins at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at Clarke County Veterans Memorial located on the west side of the Berryville-Clarke County Government Center (101 Chalmers Ct., Berryville) overlooking Rose Hill Park. The Clarke County Community Band performs, and the 2021 “Berryville-Clarke County Veteran of the Year” recipient will be announced. Event is FREE and open to the public.
Previous “Berryville-Clarke County Veteran of the Year” recipients are Norman deV. Morrison (2015), John F. Harris (2016), Michael L. Linster (2017), Robert A. Freebee (2018), Chris Shipe (2019), and Will Nelson (2020). Their names are on a perpetual plaque located in the Berryville-Clarke County Government Center. The name of the 2021 recipient will be added to the plaque.
