Public Hearings are part of formal government meetings and are scheduled as needed. Public Hearings are opportunities for a governing body to receive testimony from the public at large on local issues or proposed government actions. Notices are posted here and published in The Winchester Star — the area’s newspaper of record — at least 10 days prior to the Public Hearing.

 

Public Hearing: Clarke County Humane Foundation

The Planning Commission of Clarke County, Virginia will hold a public hearing on Friday, February 7, 2020, at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Berryville/Clarke County Government Center (second-floor main meeting room), 101 Chalmers Ct., Berryville, Va., to consider the following matter:

SP-19-02, Clarke County Humane Foundation

Request approval of a Site Plan Amendment to add a 1,090 square foot addition for six additional dog kennels to an existing animal shelter and a 12’ by 24’ pavilion to the property in the Agricultural-Open Space-Conservation (AOC) District. Property is located at 225 Ramsburg Lane, reference Tax Map 13-A-13A, in the Russell Election District. SP-19-02 

Information regarding the above matter is available to the public at the Clarke County Planning Office during regular business hours. Any person desiring to speak on the above matter should appear at the appointed time and place. Written copies of statements are requested but not required.
