Planning Commission
| Purpose: |
Promote the orderly development of the County through appropriate land use designations, provision for public services and utilities, and protection of the environment and cultural resources. The Commission recommends to the Board of Supervisors a County Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision Ordinance, and other related ordinances to achieve this goal. |
| Membership: |
The eleven Commission members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors (two from each election district) for a term of four years, with a member of the Board also serving as a Commission member. Current Planning Commission members |
| Meeting Information: |
Meets the first Friday each month at 9 am in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room [No regular meeting is conducted in August] Briefing Meeting is held the Tuesday before the first Friday of the month at 3 pm in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room |
